THE SPIRIT OF DILIGENCE

Joshua 18:3, 2 Cor 8:7 

What is DILIGENCE? Diligence is : • A spiritual virtue and a key ingredient required for success in life • The earnest and constant effort to complete a task. • The platform for excellence (Proverbs 6:6, 1 Tim 5:6) Characteristics of Diligence 

                                                        • It is a choice. Proverbs 22:29, but it is a choice of the triumphant. The way you listen to God's words shows your level of diligence • Diligence is a commandment ( Deuteronomy 22:5, 2 Cor8:7). 

                                                        • Diligence is a seed ( Gen 8:22, 2 Cor 9:6) Mark 1:12, Jer 4:6 • Diligence is a spirit • Diligence drives its carrier Τ̲̅ȍ labour (Neh 4:6, 1 Cor 15:10). It takes away the spirit of laziness. 

                                                        • It carries definite rewards(1 Cor 3:8, Heb 11:6) 

Dimensions of Diligence 

- THOUGHTS: It begins with your thoughts ( which is the root of diligence). (Proverbs 13:4, Matt 12:34, Luke 6:45, Deuteronomy 6:7). 

- ACTIONS: If you are diligent you will be hard-working, it will show in your actions. Proverbs 12:24. 

- WORDS: it affects our words, when you talk it shows whether you are diligent or not. There are many hidden blessings which won't come out until you possess the spirit of diligence. 

Examples of diligent men in the Bible; 

Genesis 30 - JACOB 

MATTHEW 2 - the 3 wise men 

1 CORINTHIANS 15:10 - Apostle PAUL 

1 THESSALONIANS 2:9 - Apostle PAUL 

JOHN 9:4 - JESUS CHRIST.

¤ Uncommon results 

 ¤ Creativity 

¤ Promotion 

¤ Order 

 ¤ Establishment 2 Peter 1:10 & 11 

Finally the way to contact the spirit of diligence is through DESPERATION.

IMPORTANCE OF UNITY IN THE CHURCH

Importance of maintaining unity in the church.

Unity means togetherness of hearts that are personally committed to Christ. Unity is a must for the advancement of a kingdom & that is Why UNITY COMMANDS BLESSINGS.

Pr-requisites to unity (Eph 4) 

• Having the right attitude towards unity, Eph 4:1-3, whereas attitude is not feelings, it is a choice. Attitude is more important than your past, money e.t.c

The right attitudes;

* Contentment towards self, Phi 4:11-13, Eph 4:8-9 "The way up is down". He who abase will surely abound. If you find yourself abasing, be rest assured or have faith that you will abound.

• Being contented towards our fellow man (Eph 4, Rom 12:9-18)

• Contentment towards GOD and His words (Eph 4:3). Where there is unity there is growth.
Unity opens the door to fresh anointing. Unity is not for the benefit of the church but for our personal benefit.

UNITY BREAKERS
¤ Quest for position
¤ Quest for recognition
¤ Quest for prominence
¤ Quest for fame.

It takes spirituality to subdue these breakers.

ACCESSING THE REALM OF SIGNS. IS 7:17

The first access to the realm of signs is SALVATION or NEW BIRTH.

Being α̲̅ "new man" is what re-positions a man for signs. John 20:21 It is not religion that positions a man for signs, it is a spiritual thing. A man's spirit needs to be renewed for him to be a candidate of signs. A sign is a proof of an event that Jesus died on the cross and God raised him from the dead. We are a proof of signs, to show forth God's power, glory and to praise His name.

WHY SIGNS? Is 14:24-27 

• We are the land of God.

• Sign is a finger of God

• Signs separate people in the light from people in the dark.

• Signs separate us from the world Luke 4:14 We are not just Spirits, we are gods, to rule and reign here on earth.

PR-REQUISITES TO ENCOUNTER THE POWER OF GOD 

• Be thirsty. Psalms 63:1&2 God doesn't empower those who don't thirst for the power.

• Stay focused. 2 kings 2:9-12

• Pray with all your heart God has empowered us with a platform of prayer. In prayer, we prepare ourselves to possess our possessions.

  We also have to know that Magic and signs are two different things just like light and darkness, MAGIC is the FINGER OF THE DEVIL. One other thing you need in order to access the realm of Signs is your understanding of your status.
Deuteronomy 18:9-13 You must enhance the understanding of your new status.

Lastly, signs and wonders are the fingers of GOD. Is 8:18....

The bad situation you find yourself in does not mark the end of everything,it just tells you that you should look within yourself and bring out the strength,zeal and ability in you so as to move ahead.Bad situations mark the beginning of new and good breakthroughs if and only if you get the information being passed to you by the situation as stated above
